As a Mother, Statewide Policy Maker for nearly a decade and an advocate for Equity I bring demonstrated leadership and experience, and first-hand experience leading Statewide Initiatives centering Youth Voice, Equity, Awards and Recognition Programs, at the California Department of Education.

I hope to bring my experience to the Natomas Unified School District to represent Area 4 to focus on Early Education, Social Emotional Learning, and Family Engagement.

• Cindy is the product of public schools, she has attended Fresno City College, California State University, Sacramento and the University of California, Riverside.

• Cindy serves as a Statewide Advisory Board member to the Puente Project who’s mission is to increase the number of educationally underrepresented students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees and return to the community as mentors and leaders to future generation.
